Wolverine Worldwide appoints first-ever Chief Supply Chain Officer
The US-based company has appointed Bishu Jayaram to the newly created role of Chief Supply Chain Officer, making him responsible for global sourcing, distribution, logistics, and integrated planning
To help advance its strategic transformation into a “consumer-obsessed growth company”, Wolverine Worldwide has appointed the industry veteran Bishu Jayaram as its first-ever Chief Supply Officer. In this position, he will be responsible for global sourcing, distribution, logistics, and integrated planning.
Jayaram has more than 20 years of supply chain and sourcing experience and has served as the company's Senior Vice President of Global Sourcing for the past two years. Before, he spent six years with VF Corporation in a variety of supply chain roles, including leading Asia sourcing for all footwear, equipment, and packaging, while also leading global material supply for all apparel, footwear, and equipment. Earlier in his career, Jayaram worked for brands such as Avery Denison, adidas, and Gap.
“Bishu has a proven track record of successfully navigating complex supply chain landscapes and implementing innovative strategies and has led the Company’s sourcing organization during a period of unprecedented supply chain volatility”, commented Chris Hufnagel, President and CEO of Wolverine Worldwide, to whom he will report. “His appointment aligns well with our commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, building great brands across the globe, and transforming us into a consumer-obsessed growth company”, he concluded.
It was also announced that Jim Zwiers, Executive Vice President and President of the Global Operations Group, will depart from Wolverine Worldwide in early 2024.
