Vida Shoes acquires luxury shoe brand Aquatalia
Vida Shoes International, which owns brands such as Jambu, JBU, J Sport and Andre Assous, has acquired the made-in-Italy luxury shoe brand Aquatalia
The Vida Shoes International group has announced the acquisition of the luxury fashion brand Aquatalia from ADJHA Aquatalia LLC. Founded in 1994 and made in Italy, Aquatalia is known for the “finest combination” of fashion, craftsmanship and comfort in luxury footwear.
“With Aquatalia’s rich history of style and craftsmanship, Vida Shoes International views it as the ideal addition to expand our portfolio within the luxury fashion industry, complementing our established luxe brands, Andre Assous and Bruno Magli”, said Solomon Dabah, President of Vida Shoes International.
Vida, which designs, sources, markets and distributes women’s, men’s and children’s footwear, owns brands such as Jambu, JBU, J Sport and Andre Assous. It's also a licensee of brands such as BCBG, Bruno Magli, Splendid, Kenneth Cole, Stride Rite, Carter’s, Merrell Kids, Saucony Kids, Kurt Geiger and OshKosh B'Gosh, and makes private label shoes for various retailers.
The acquisition will not only help Vida expand its luxury fashion portfolio but also strengthen its presence in women’s footwear. “We take great pride in being a world-class company across multiple footwear categories. Bringing Aquatalia into our family of brands enhances our position within the women's category, allowing us to reach even more fashion-minded consumers”, added Solomon Dabah, President of Vida Shoes International.
The deal was completed last September, but the terms were not disclosed.
