VF Corp names Silvia Onofri as President of the brand Napapijri
The owner of high-profile brands such as Vans, The North Face and Timberland has appointed Silvia Onofri to the position of Brand President of the outwear brand Napapijri
Onofri succeeds Massimo Ferrucci, who was the former brand President and left the company last year, and will report to VF's Executive Vice President and President of EMEA, APAC & Emerging Brands, Martino Scabbia Guerrini. “Napapijri, born as an Italian brand, has evolved into a premium and sustainable outerwear global icon. We’re excited to welcome Silvia to the VF family as Brand President”, commented Guerrini. Her industry experience [of 20 years] and deep understanding of the marketplace will enable us to advance Napapijri’s growth plan and unlock its full global potential”, he added.
She started her career at Bulgari as Marketing and Product Manager, and later moved on to new career opportunities in finance, merchandising, trade marketing, communication, and sales. Silvia Onofri joined the fashion company Bally in 2008, being then promoted from Global Trade Marketing Manager to Chief Commercial Officer of Global Wholesale & Licences, with responsibility for sales, strategic direction, vision and brand growth.
“I am excited to take on this responsibility for Napapijri in order to build on the incredible work that has been done so far and guide the brand through its next phase of growth, both across EMEA and globally”, she said.
