Vans and Timberland release first-ever collaborative capsule
By the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Vans' iconic Half Cab, the two VF Corp brands have teamed up for the first time to create a hybrid silhouette that fuses both their DNAs
The duo came up with an entirely new hybrid silhouette based on Vans' iconic Half Cab model released in 1992, and Timberland's Euro Hiker boot, created in 1988. The result is half skate shoe and half boot, which was named Vans Skateboarding x Timberland Half Cab Hiker.
This capsule collection features the "Half Cab's recognizable 5/8-cut upper lands atop the Euro Hiker’s boot tooling", with two-tone round boot laces and metal eyestays. The model is made of canvas and Timberland's premium leather, with a ReBotl lining comprised of at least 50% recycled plastic. The boots, which have debuted in wheat and chocolate/olive colourways, contain a padded leather collar, a rubber outsole with lugs and Vans and Timberland's shared branding.
Additionally, Vans offers a new take on Timberland's Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boots, originally released in 1973, taking inspiration from streetwear, workwear and skate aesthetics, dubbed Vans Skateboarding x Timberland 6-Inch Boot.
