UGG raises 125 000 US dollars for charity
UGG partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America for the fifth consecutive year, raising more than 100 000 US dollars for the organization
The fund raising activity took place between the 27th of November 27th and the end of the year. So far, the brand has raised 573 000 US dollars for the organization through the annual initiative implemented in all 46 North American UGG Australia stores, including 27 concept stores and 19 outlets.
"Watching this initiative grow and gain momentum over the past five years has been incredibly rewarding, not just for our employees but for all of our UGG consumers who continually support this charity from around the country", commented UGG President, Connie Rishwain, adding: "It's an opportunity that allows our customers and retail teams to give back to children who are most in need and so to see that we have now raised over half a million dollars for such a worthy cause is extremely overwhelming".
Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) helps children achieving academic success, good character and citizenship, as well as the tools to lead a healthy lifestyle. Each donation contributes to the four million young people who use the 4 000 clubs that make up the BGCA.
With a network of more than 4 000 clubs, BGCA serves nearly 4 million children and teens through Club membership and community outreach. Clubs provide a safe place, caring adult mentors, fun and friendship, and high-impact youth development programs on a daily basis during critical non-school hours. Priority programs emphasize academic success, good character and citizenship, and healthy lifestyles.
