Timberland named Mainstream Men's footwear brand of the year
The brand, part of the VF Corporation group, received the recognition at the annual Drapers Footwear Awards 2015
"We're thrilled and honoured to win the Best Mainstream Men's Footwear Brand of the Year award a second time. As it's voted for by members of the footwear industry, it's a huge accolade for the brand and a humbling experience being selected amongst such great competitors. Timberland has huge momentum around the world right now. The trend toward heritage and authenticity is lifting the brand - but it's the versatile new products that are driving the real excitement. We are delighted that this is noticed and recognised by the industry", stated Andy Hewat, Country Manager UK & Ireland.
This is the second time Timberland wins the category and the third that the brand takes home a prize, voted for by an expert panel of judges, which includes a number of fashion journalists and stylists.
The results of the awards were revealed on 4th June at the Tower of London, where the fashion industry elite came together for a night of recognition and triumph over the sector's achievements.
Eric Musgrave, Editorial Director at Drapers, said: "The Drapers Footwear awards bring together retailers large and small and brands old and new. The level of expertise and commitment of our winning footwear entrepreneurs from all across the UK and Ireland inspires the entire sector."
