Tim O’Donovan to receive lifetime achievement award
Prestigious Bob Campbell award to be presented at the Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s 75th anniversary gala in December
As part of foundation’s 75th anniversary and its long-standing tradition of recognizing philanthropic leadership within the footwear industry, the Two Ten Footwear Foundation announced that Tim O’Donovan, retired Chairman and CEO of Wolverine Worldwide, will be presented with the prestigious Bob Campbell Lifetime Achievement Award.
O’Donovan actively served on the Two Ten Board for 23 years, including two years as its Chairman, and currently as the tri-chair of its Honorary Board. “He has repeatedly demonstrated his charitable, civic and public service to the footwear community and has been the recipient of Two Ten’s highest honors, the AA Bloom Memorial Award (1995) and T. Kenyon Holly Memorial Award (2004) – both awards signifying outstanding humanitarian achievements. In 2009, the Tim and Karen O’Donovan Endowment Fund was established to provide financial assistance to footwear employees in times of need”, can be read in a press release issued by the foundation.
When asked about Two Ten and this prestigious award, O’Donovan responded: “I am humbled and very grateful to be nominated for the Bob Campbell Lifetime Achievement Award. It has been a great source of pride to me and my family to be a multi-decade supporter of Two Ten as it has grown its services to those in our industry who are in need of our assistance.”
“It’s incredibly fitting that during our 75th anniversary year, we celebrate Tim O’Donovan’s love of the footwear industry, the people who work in it and his 23 year commitment to Two Ten”, commented Neal Newman, President of Two Ten Footwear Foundation.
The Bob Campbell Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented on the 2nd of December during a ceremony held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. Established in 2009 and presented every five years, this award honors an individual whose great leadership and philanthropic accomplishments has made a difference to the Two Ten Footwear Foundation and America’s footwear community’s success.
