From the 21^st to the 22^nd of September, following an optional day of visits to factories and institutional entities on the 19^th, and a visit to SIMAC Tanning Tech on the 20^th, 250 delegates from 22 countries took part in the UITIC conferences program. The conference comprised of four sessions and two panels focusing on new products and materials, the digital transformation of products and processes, the role of workers in Industry 5.0, and sustainability. A total of 24 international speakers and 12 panel contributors enriched the sessions of the Congress of the International Union of Shoe Industry Technicians.

In addition, research centres and institutions from all over the world presented their innovative solutions in 17 booths set up for the purpose at the Innovation Showcase.
