Skechers with renewed partnerships
The Performance division has announced a multi-year partnership extension of title sponsorship of the Los Angeles Marathon. This follows the 5-year contract extension with Go Golf brand ambassador and PGA Pro Billy Andrade
Skechers Performance and Conqur Endurance Group, the organizer of the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon have announced a multi-year partnership extension of Skechers Performance’s title sponsorship of the Los Angeles Marathon. Last year marked the inaugural year of Skechers Performance’s title sponsorship.
As the title sponsor, Skechers Performance will continue integrated marketing and communications programming to increase the footwear and apparel company’s visibility in the months leading up to and during race weekend, as well as amplify the brand along the course.
“We are proud to remain the title sponsor of the Los Angeles Marathon, especially since it is our local race and held in this incredible city, where we started Skechers back in 1992”, commented Michael Greenberg, President, Skechers USA, Inc. adding: “This year we are celebrating our 25-year milestone as an award-winning, global company headquartered in L.A., and being the title sponsor is one exciting example demonstrating the growth and success of the company over the years.”
Skechers Performance also announced the 5-year contract extension with Go Golf brand ambassador and PGA Pro, Billy Andrade. Andrade has been a part of the Go Golf pro team since the global footwear company debuted its line of performance golf footwear and apparel.
A Bristol, Rhode Island native, Andrade first came on to the professional golf scene in 1987 after helping to lead his Wake Forest University Demon Deacons to victory in the 1986 NCAA Championship. Andrade represented the US in the 1987 Walkers Cup and has won 4 tour titles since going pro. Currently playing on the Champions tour, where he’s banked three tour titles, Andrade is ranked number 13 on the Charles Schwab Cup, and has been featured in the Top 50 Official World Golf ranking.
“Since day one, Billy has been a great asset as we’ve grown the golf division”, commented Rick Higgins, Skechers Performance Senior Vice President of Merchandising and Marketing, adding: “He’s been fantastic to work with and we are thrilled to have him on our golf pro team as we continue to drive the brand’s success.”
