Skechers with new UK headquarters
The US-based company has innaugurated its new headquarters in St. Albans (England)
The new 17 500 square feet building, replacing Skechers former headquarters in the nearby town of Potters Bar, will house offices and nine product showrooms for the men’s, women’s and children’s ranges, and a team of 50 people is expected to be based there.
Skechers has 400 store employees across the UK and Ireland, and sales in the region grew by almost 30% last year.
The company is investing strongly in Europe, and has recently expanded its distribution center in Belgium to 1 million square feet. The company is also redesigning its Austrian and Italian showrooms.
Skechers also plans to open a 1 800 square feet flagship store in Oxford Street (London) in November, which will be the first store to sell the brand’s apparel.
