Skechers aims to have 400 stores in India
The US-based company is planning to add 300 new stores to its distribution network in India, taking the total count to 400 outlets over the next three to five years
As part of its expansion plans, the company is looking to focus on the tier II and III cities. Details of the investment involved in this expansion of Skechers sales network were not disclosure but the brand seems to be highly focused on the Indian market. New products should be added to the stores portfolio, with apparel items just recently included.
Skechers is also looking into the best way to implement its omnichannel approach by integrating online and offline. Within the next six months it is foreseen that Skechers.In is launched and integrated with the brick and mortar side of the business.
