The Florida-based manufacturer of slip-resistant safety footwear has announced that Chris Quinn will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer beginning on the 1st of January 2025
With more than 30 years of experience in the retail, e-commerce, footwear and apparel industries, Quinn will now assume the role of CEO for Shoes For Crews, having served as a director of the company since late August. “Entering the new year with our talented new board, we’ll continue to innovate in the slip-resistant and safety footwear space”, he said.
He succeeds Donald Watros, who will step down as CEO on the last day of the year but will remain a senior advisor to the company to ensure a smooth transition.
“During my tenure, we have accomplished incredible things at Shoes For Crews. From a long list of technology innovations to completely restructuring the business, we have logged a great number of successes. I'm looking forward to handing the baton onto my trusted successor, Chris, who will no doubt stack on more wins onto our growing list”, said Donald Watros, retiring CEO.
Quinn highlighted that “over the company’s first 40 years, we’ve really fine-tuned our purposeful design and proprietary technology”. “I’m looking forward to continue to lead the industry in groundbreaking solutions for a wide range of use cases, from inside the kitchen to out in the field”, he concluded.
Prior to joining the Florida-based footwear manufacturer, he was CEO of housewares company iDesign, President and CEO of outdoor goods company Step2Copany, and Executive Vice President of Sales & Retail for New Balance.
