Sam Edelman expands into four new categories
The Caleres-owned footwear brand has signed four new licensing deals to expand all its three brands – Sam Edelman, Circus NY by Sam Edelman and Sam & Libby – into new categories
The new licensee partners are HB Connections for handbags, Esquire Brands for children’s shoes, Gina Group for hosiery and My Step Global for slippers. “The addition of four new licensees is another growth milestone for Sam Edelman. We’re confident in our partners’ abilities to bring our passion for our consumers to life across four new categories”, commented Jesse Edelman, senior vice president and general manager of Sam Edelman.
They will join the brand’s existing portfolio of partners: S. Rothschild for dresses and outerwear, One Jeanswear Group for denim and ready-to-wear and Randa Apparel and Accessories for belts.
This autumn, the Sam Edelman and Sam & Libby brands will launch handbags that speak “directly to its sophisticated and modern consumer”, in collaboration with HB Connections, renowned for its expertise in designing handbags and small leather goods. The Caleres-owned brand also said that children’s footwear and hosiery will be available this spring and slippers this autumn.
“As we step into handbags, children’s footwear, hosiery and slippers, it allows us to better meet the demands of our diverse and evolving consumer as a complete lifestyle brand dressing her from head to toe”, concluded Edelman.
