Rosana Perán Bazán will continue at the helm of FICE
Rosana Perán Bazán's role as President of the Spanish Federation of Footwear Industries (FICE) was renewed at the association’s recent General Assembly. She first took up the role in 2022
The President of the CEC and FICE and Executive Vice-President of Pikolinos Group, Rosana Perán Bazán, will continue to lead the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries (FICE), after the renewal of her position as President was ratified during the last Ordinary General Assembly of the association.

“I am very grateful for the trust you have placed in me to continue representing and defending the interests of the Spanish footwear sector, a sector that is facing major challenges, which we are already working on with our members”, Rosana Perán said, showing her appreciation for the support received by all members of the footwear federation. She first took up the role in 2022.

The FICE Executive Committee also monitored the progress of the objectives set in the association’s new strategic plan. According to the re-elected President, the aim is to consolidate the positioning of the footwear sector as a trademark of Spanish fashion and strengthen its presence in international markets. Sustainability and digital transformation underpinned by a humanist vision are other challenges addressed in this document.

However, “we are now focused and busy coordinating the donations of footwear that we are receiving from our companies to help as much as possible the emergency services and security forces that are working to rescue and care for the affected population [by DANA]. The most important thing at the moment is the people”, stated Rosana Perán.

Footwear Donation Campaign

The footwear donation campaign promoted by FICE to help those affected by the DANA continues. To date, footwear companies have donated more than 22,700 pairs of shoes, mainly wellington boots and technical and domestic footwear.

Donors include Igor, Pisamonas, Unisa, Pablosky, Toni Pons, Paredes, Panter, Gioseppo, Grupo Illice, Yokono, Vulcanizados Alberola, Deichman, XTI, Exé, Calzados Bestard, Pikolinos, 24H, Ángel Alarcón y Calzados Gaymo, Botticelli, among others. The Polish Chamber of Footwear and Leather Industry and the Portuguese Association of the Footwear Industry (APICCAPS) also collaborated through the CEC.

In addition to the donation of footwear, 15,500 masks were delivered to the affected communities to protect the rescue and clean-up teams.
