Portuguese shoes in the spotlight with Emily in Paris
In Emily in Paris, one of the most popular series at the moment, Lily Collins, the protagonist who plays Emily Cooper, wears a pair of sandals by the Portuguese shoe brand Alameda Turquesa
In the very first episode of the fourth season of Emily in Paris, which premiered in August, Lily Collins was seen wearing Alameda Turquesa’s real fur and pearl sandals.

In fact, both she and Ashley Park (who plays Mindy Chen) are customers of the Portuguese brand, but it was the first time the shoes appeared on the screen. “We were thrilled because they were in evidence”, told one of the founders, Carolina Santos, to Observador.

And it hasn’t taken long for the brand’s profile to rise, with more social media followers and an increase in sales. The co-founder explained that in the summer there was no immediate demand for the furry sandals, “but it helps with brand awareness because people who didn’t know us before now do”. She added that whether or not people like the series, its projection is undeniable, and it’s important that is a fictional production with a strong fashion focus.

However, the Portuguese brand is already well-used to success and to being worn by celebrities. Sofía Vergara, for example, is a regular customer who buys directly from the brand, and Bella Hadid and Alexandra Saint Mleux have recently worn pieces from the brand.
