OrthoLite significantly expands its operations in India
Thanks to solid leadership in the region, OrthoLite has increased its Indian footprint by adding leather insole production and strengthening local manufacturing to support 61 brand partners
“Vikash has been a strong leader in helping us grow our business quickly to meet our growing demand in this important region. India is a thriving market for both our domestic consumer and export businesses. OrthoLite’s expanded facility will also serve as an important hub for leather insole craftsmanship and other forthcoming innovations within our company”, commented Glenn Barrett, Chief Executive Officer at OrthoLite.
OrthoLite has expanded its India operations with an enlarged manufacturing facility in Ambur and a new sales office in Chennai. The expanded facility, which opened in 2021, now triples its previous footprint and boosts production capacity to two million insoles per month. The Ambur site has also enhanced its capabilities by adding leather footbed manufacturing.

The facility is one of six vertically integrated OrthoLite sites worldwide and plays a pivotal role in the company’s global production strategy. The region is particularly significant as it hosts 61 of OrthoLite's more than 550 global brand partners, highlighting its role as a key hub in its local-for-local production approach.
In June 2023, OrthoLite appointed Vikash Bajargyan as General Manager of OrthoLite India, marking a turning point for the facility. Vikash oversees manufacturing, business development and partnerships with brands and tier-1 factory partners.
The team at OrthoLite India has also been strengthened with new hires to support its growth. Operations Manager Sweta Kannan brought over a decade of experience in lean line manufacturing and textile factory operations. Sureshbabu Seenivasagam and Anbu Sundaram have more than 25 years of expertise in logistics and merchandising.
