OrthoLite expands European hub
The US-based insole manufacturer has announced the expansion its European facility, OrthoLite Europa (OEU), located in Almansa, Spain. The aim is to increase capacity and bring solutions closer to its European partners
“Our commitment to invest in our global manufacturing footprint brings agility and reliability for OrthoLite’s brand partners and our T1 factory partners. Our factory in Spain is a crucial European hub for our EU-based partners. Our production demand continues to grow, and we continue to build excellence in capacity, customer service, advancing technologies, and unmatched responsiveness as a strategic supply partner”, commented Richard Bevan, VP of Global Operations for OrthoLite.
Following continued investment in the latest technologies to support manufacturing innovation, infrastructure, capacity expansion and operational efficiencies, the factory will expand lean line production, add more automation and continue to upgrade equipment and tooling requirements. In addition, a series of new technologies will allow OrthoLite to meet the growing demand for more technical designs and premium quality materials in footwear.
The US-based company has quadrupled its capacity in Almansa since 2021, refining its craftsmanship and specialisation in leather-based solutions for its EU-based customers. The European hub is particularly relevant for speed-to-market, as it can deliver from Spain to any point in Europe within two to four days.
The OEU facility mainly serves “Made in the EU production”, targeting the fashion, luxury, dress, work, outdoor, trail, hike, comfort casual, and athletic footwear brands with high quality insoles as well as leather and other technical insole products.
