Nobrand’s distribution strategy for 2015
The Portuguese brand announced they will open their first flagship in Colombia, while reinforcing the presence in China and launching a new product line
Nobrand recently start to export its products in Colombia, Venezuela, Chile and Peru. Although, European countries are still the main destination of their production, the company is diversifying its markets, and new destinations are gaining share.
The company, located in Felgueiras, in the north of Portugal, is focusing attention in extra European Union markets, and Colombia is one of the elected destinations. According to the company, by mid-2015 the first Nobrand flagship will open in Medellín. Sérgio Cunha, the company’s CEO, said: “we have chosen Medellín, because our experience in Colombia has been very positive and we wish to invest in this market. We are studying the concept of a global store”.
At the same time the company is reinforcing its presence in China with the creation of new facilities in that country currently on the pipeline.
These expansion movements, with the opening of new stores, has created the need to have a new premium line, dedicated specially to women, the Nostudio.
Born in 1988, Nobrand became famous for its timeless efforts in redefining technology and for giving a cutting edge to the traditional Portuguese shoe styling. The company currently has 1 300 sales points, a work force of roughly 120 employees and manufactures 2 500 pairs of shoes per day (on average).
