Nobrand to open first flagship store
Young, modern and irreverent are the words best describing of one of the biggest Portuguese footwear brands
Sérgio Cunha, the brand’s CEO, believes Nobrand has the ability to conquer people from all ages: “ I know people of advanced age who use Nobrand, but when you look at them, you wouldn’t give them their age”
Founded in 1988, Nobrand is an international brand with almost 1 300 points of sale. Europe continues to absorb the bulk of their production, but new markets are gaining importance. Outside the EU, China is becoming a winning bet. Also Colombia has been given special attention by the Portugal-based brand, and will become the home of the first Nobrand flagship store due to open in mid 2015. Located in Medellin, the flagship store will work as a test for the global store concept. The idea is to replicate the store in other cities at a later stage.
While opening the new stores, the group felt the need to create a new line. No Studio is a premium brand dedicated mainly to women, which will diversify the portfolio and assist the group while conquering new customers and markets.
The company employs 120 employees, producing an average of 2 500 pairs of shoes per day, and has an annual turnover of 65 million euros. A curiosity about the group resides in the fact that Nobrand is the Portuguese company who sells more footwear in Germany.
