Next edition of AYSAF is just around the corner
AYSAF, the International Footwear Materials, Components, Leather and Technology Exhibition, will be held at the Istanbul Expo Centre from the 13th to the 16th of November, under the banner ‘Dare to Be Different’
The 71st edition of the International Footwear Materials, Components, Leather and Technology Exhibition, organised in collaboration with the Footwear Suppliers Association (AYSAD) and Artkim Fuarcilik, is expected to welcome more than 15 316 visitors from more than 68 countries worldwide between the 13th and the 16th of November at the Istanbul Expo Centre.
Under the banner ‘Dare to be different’, which highlights the “bold and dynamic brands that are reshaping the industry”, the organisation aims to guarantee visitors the opportunity to discover the latest innovations in footwear, “at an event not be missed by those seeking originality and vision”.
The six exhibition halls will be divided into areas, allowing participants to discover the latest innovations in soles, leather, artificial leather, textiles, EVA, metal and plastic accessories, chemicals, adhesives, machinery, equipment and production technologies. The designs from the ‘Leather Design Competition’ will be exhibited during the event for the first time in the history of AYSAF.
But more importantly, the Turkish trade fair aims to be more than just an exhibition by serving as a meeting point for all industry stakeholders in order to shape future trends in the footwear supply sector. To that end, it will provide further networking opportunities through workshops, talks with experts, fashion shows, and other events, ultimately leading to new collaborations.
In addition, with the increasing importance of sustainability in the industry, AYSAF has decided to take a step forward by measuring its carbon footprint for the first time. This “practice is significant as a step towards raising environmental awareness in the industry. This platform, where sustainable production methods will be introduced, will play an encouraging role for participants to adopt environmentally friendly practices”, said the organisation in a statement.
