New CEO appointed to head up AstorMueller

Andreas Wortmann has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Swiss shoe manufacturer AstorMueller, the licensee of Bugatti shoes worldwide

Andreas Wortmann joins the company as CEO, having held the same position at Ara from 2018 until September. He started his career at Paul Green Shoes in Munich, Germany, and subsequently held management positions at Marc Shoes in Hameln, Germany, and Mephisto Shoes in Sarrebourg, France.

His expertise is now expected to drive growth and innovation for the footwear manufacturer. “With Andreas on board, we have the visionary leader we need to drive our transformation forward and reinforce our position in the market”, said the outgoing CEO, who will continue to “guide” the company as Chairman of the Board.

Wortman highlighted the company’s impressive history and said he was “eager to collaborate with the team on innovative products” in order to “further expand” the company’s reach.

Recognised in the industry for its in-depth manufacturing expertise, design and technology development and global production capabilities, AstorMueller is the supplier of its own brands Salamander and TT.Bagatt and is the licensee of Bugatti shoes and Daniel Hechter brand.
