New Balance’s tribute to automotive heritage

A new limited-edition shoe created by New Balance is paying tribute to Michigan's industrial history

Premier, a Michigan retailer will have the exclusive to sell the new premium New Balance MiUSA 998 models, from the 22nd of August onwards.

The new model was announced as being a tribute to the 20th century automobile manufacturing history in the state of Michigan. A global, yet limited, release is scheduled to follow on the 5th of September at select New Balance retailers. Retail price is set at 220 US dollars.

The shoes, available in sizes 7-13, take their inspiration from early 20th century automobile manufacturing in Michigan, and were designed focusing on details evoking luxury cars of the early 1900s. Every pair comes with a hangtag set featuring a New Balance key and Premier license plate with the shop abbreviation "PRMR."
