Milan’s trade fairs closed with 40 821 visitors
The February edition of MICAM Milano, MIPEL, The One Milano and Milano Fashion&Jewels attracted a total of 40 821 visitors from 150 countries, 45% of whom came from abroad
The four trade fairs dedicated to fashion and accessories, which took place simultaneously at Fieramilano from the 18th to the 22nd of February, ended satisfactorily. “The closing figures, thanks to incoming trade visitors from abroad, reflect a positive trend, a tangible sign of stability in a difficult economic moment”, reads the organisation’s statement.
In total, MICAM Milano, MIPEL, The One Milano and Milano Fashion&Jewels welcomed 40 821 visitors, 45% of whom came from abroad. From the EU, Germany, Spain and Greece were the best performers, while Japan, China, Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom recorded positive results from the non-European markets.
Under the banner #GREATIFY, the fairs presented themselves to the market together, looking to the future and the new generations. In addition to the business opportunities, there was also a visible willingness to innovate, as “strong efforts are being made to renew production processes with the introduction of digitalisation and the latest technologies” in all the sectors represented.
On the other hand, many workshops and educational moments took place during these days, “in many cases involving young people, who represent the future, and schools, an indispensable bridge to the world of work for the new generations”.
The next edition will be held from the 15th to the 18th of September at Fieramilano Rho.
