MICAM and its sisters fairs attracted 40,950 trade visitors
MICAM Milano, Milano Fashion&Jewels, MIPEL and The One Milano closed with 40,950 trade visitors, 45% of whom came from 140 foreign countries, in line with the previous edition
The four fashion and accessories fairs closed on the 17th of September with 40,950 trade visitors, a slight increase on the 40,821 recorded at the February edition. Of the total, 45% came from 140 countries around the world. The best performers in Europe were Spain, Germany and France. But what stood out were the results from North America, with double-digit growth (Canada and the US), followed by the Far East, with China and Japan leading the way.
Overall, the organisation believes that the trade fairs have confirmed their role as “global business trendsetters”, “responding to market needs with elegance and precision, even in challenging times”. “Innovation” and “creative flair” were key to providing a “unique experience” for visitors. Furthermore, in addition to the usual networking opportunities, this year’s September fair aimed to bridge the gap between education and business, giving young people the chance to directly contact the corporate world.
“In a period of profound transformation for the fashion world, dominated by digitalisation and sustainability, this year, the exhibitions combined their business message, centred on production methods, artistic ability and the value chain, with a focus on training and job opportunities for the new generations”, reads the organisation’s statement.
The next edition will be held from the 23rd to the 25th of February 2025 at Fiera Milano Rho.
