Melissa creates shoe that fits both the right and left feet
The Brazil-based brand has launched nine models of shoes that fit in both feet, allowing 81 different combinations
Melissa is a famous Brazilian brand owned by group Grendene. Launched in the late 1970’s the plastic shoes quickly became very popular amongst women and children.

The Melissa shoes are famous for the plastic material used, the melflex, made from PVC and the main characteristic feature of the brand is the continuous collaboration with famous plastic artists, fashion designers and architects to develop collections and special lines. Famous collaborations include Taiwanese-Canadian fashion designer Jason Wu, English fashion designer Vivienne Westwood and Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid.

The brand has innovated once again, by creating and presenting a new concept with the line One by One, that in a way "breaks the paradigm that the shoes have to be sold in pairs."

The new models, nine in total, can be used both on the right foot as well as on the left. There are models with polka dots, with half polka dots and half plain black, with stripes and plain without stripes. In total there are 81 possible combinations, at the user’s own discretion, wish and taste.

The motto of the campaign "Melissa, endless possibilities” is a reflection of this.
