Mango reaches US expansion goals ahead of schedule

The Spanish fashion group has reached its goal of having 40 of its stores in the US by the end of 2024 ahead of schedule and even plans to surpass it with 42 stores open by the end of the year

With a store opening in El Paso, Texas, Mango now has 40 of its stores in the US, with two more to open by the end of 2024. In 2025, the company plans to further expand its presence in the country with more than twenty new stores, bringing the total number of stores to around 65 and doubling the number of employees to more than 1,200 across the US. In recent years, Mango has created more than 600 new jobs in the country, growing from 30 employees in 2020 to more than 640 today.

“This achievement represents a moment of pride for the entire Mango team and reaffirms our deep commitment to the US market, a fundamental pillar in our global strategy,” says Mango’s Director of Expansion and Franchising, Daniel López. The company’s expansion in the US is part of its 4E 2024-2026 Strategic Plan, which aims to showcase Mango’s differentiated value proposition, with a strong focus on expanding and improving sales in stores and online.

“Reaching 40 owned stores is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees, as well as the positive reception of our differential value proposition by our customers in the US, a key market for us that is experiencing double-digit growth”, López added. The US is currently one of its top five markets and the main online market. By 2026, the company expects it to be one of the group’s three main markets in terms of turnover.

As part of the expansion plan, Mango also recently opened its second off-site logistics centre in the country, outside of Los Angeles, to better serve states on the West Coast and in the middle of the country. These facilities are in addition to the offshore logistics centre Mango opened in Pennsylvania in 2022, which serves the company’s online business in most of the country.
