Maison Margiela and Reebok in multi season partnership
The Paris-based luxury house and the sports giant, owned by adidas, have entered into a partnership, which will focus on expanding the limits of footwear, inspired by our collaboration dedicated to experimental and progressive craftsmanship
The first fruit of this partnership will be launched tomorrow with the debut of two Tabi Instapump Fury sneakers, presented in January, in the Maison Margiela Spring-Summer 2020 fashion show.
As reported by Fashionnetwork.com "It draws on key themes from that show such as a re-evaluation of the values of bourgeois dressing exercised through the codes that define it”. In practice, this sees Margiela creative chief John Galliano using “the conscious codes and science of today in a dialogue between Reebok’s revolutionary Instapump Fury sneaker and the French fashion house’s legendary split-toed shoe”.
There will be an exclusive launch at Maison Margiela Crosby Street Concept Store, in New York, on the 22nd of September, with the launch of more examples of the Reebok and Margiela logos and at selected Margiela boutiques, the next day.
