Lineapelle returns to a pre-pandemic dimension with a high turnout of buyers
1 161 exhibitors from 42 countries welcomed over 24 000 buyers into their stands at the last edition of the trade fair, held between the 21st and the 23rd of February at Fiera Milano Rho
“It was supposed to be the edition of the complete return to the pre-pandemic dimension and, as its slogan stated, aimed at 'making tomorrow bloom'. So, it was”, summed up the organizers of the event in a statement. Lineapelle 101, dedicated to the 2024 summer season, closed “under the banner of great energy”, having provided a stimulating business environment for the exhibitors and buyers present at the fair, despite the current “complex economic phase”, impacted by a series of factors such as the war in Ukraine and the inflationary trend.
The growing numbers speak for themselves. This edition, which hosted over 24 000 exhibitors from 42 countries (61.7% Italian and 38.3% foreign), welcomed more than 24 000 buyers into the pavilions, reflecting an increase in the latter of 55% over the previous edition dedicated to summer collections (February 2022) and a 6% growth as compared to the winter edition (September 2022).
But, overall, Lineapelle marked the return to a pre-pandemic dimension, with 41% of visitors coming from abroad – the presence of buyers from Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands was noteworthy, as well as the “solid presence” of Turkish operators and the entries of Japanese and Korean visitors, “together with the initial return of Chinese”.
The next edition is scheduled to take place from the 19th to the 21st of September 2023 at Fiera Milano Rho.
