Lineapelle closes on a high
The 92nd edition of Lineapelle was held in Milan from the 21st to the 23rd of February and had over 21 800 visitors
The latest edition of the Milan-based trade fair counted with almost 22 thousand visitors, of which 55% were Italians and 45% from other countries (in a total of 106 countries).
This number of visitors represents a 3% increase compared to the September 2016 edition and 1% growth compared to February 2016.
Also worth being highlighted is the double-figure growth for attendance at Simac Tanning Tech, the fair for technology (for tanning, footwear, leather goods) held at Fieramilano Rho to coincide with Lineapelle.
The organizers emphasized the particularly good increase in visitors from Germany, China and Russia, markets that were having a particularly hard time last season. According to the same source, exhibitors at Lineapelle92 (in a total of 1 198 - 4% more than a year ago - from 44 countries) left the event with a very positive impression, resulting from “how negotiations were managed with an increasingly more select clientele who was, even more importantly, focused on the product: lots of real interest and plenty of quality”.
These were seen as indicators that the market could be relaunching after a 2016 characterised by ups and downs.
The next edition of the trade fair will take place from the 4th to the 6th of October 2017.
