Latest Authentic Brands partnerships in Asia
The New York-based brand management company has expanded its partnership with Liberated for Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Indonesia and signed another with BRJ Group for Japan and Taiwan
Liberated Brands (Liberated) will take over the retail network, e-commerce and marketing operations of Autenthic's outdoor sports brands – Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, RVCA, DC Shoes, Element, VonZipper, Honolua – across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Indonesia. To support the transition, Greg Healy, Global and APAC President of the former Boardriders company, will become Liberated’s President of APAC, overseeing a strategic growth framework for Liberated’s brand portfolio across key regions.
“We are thrilled to announce our expanded partnership with Authentic”, commented Todd Hymel, Founder and CEO of Liberated. “With a shared vision of enhancing the retail experience for consumers, both online and in-store, we look forward to introducing seamless shopping experiences, curated collections and unique experiences that resonate with a dedicated and growing audience”.
ABG has also entered a partnership with BRJ Group to operate the Boardriders business in Japan and Taiwan, which includes the brands Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy, RVCA, DC Shoes, Element and Von Zipper. The BRJ Group, with SMBC Capital Partners as the majority investor, will be controlled by the current management team of Boardriders in Japan and Taiwan and will be responsible for the development, manufacturing, and distribution of the full portfolio of brands in the territories.
“This partnership with BRJ represents a strategic move for Authentic to strengthen our foothold in these important regions. BRJ’s deep understanding of the local Japanese and Taiwanese cultures, coupled with the management team’s proven track record in brand development and distribution for these iconic brands, aligns seamlessly with our expansion strategy”, said Wesley Chu, EVP, APAC, Authentic.
