Kurt Geiger posts record figures in December amid retail expansion
As it continues to expand its presence in North America, the British luxury footwear and accessories brand says December 2024 was the most profitable month in its history
Last December was “by and far the most profitable month in the brand’s 62-year history”, as a result of a 17% increase in DTC sales and a 54% increase in handbag sales “throughout the holiday season”, Kurt Geiger reported.
According to Drapers, this performance is the culmination of strong growth between February and September. In particular, US sales soared by 58.7% to more than 134 million US dollars, with e-commerce and wholesale up by 94.4% and 50.9%, respectively, over the same period.
“We’re going big in North America. Seeing our growth in the region, we believe our creative and social spirit and our statement-making styles aren’t just for Londonphiles. We love the idea of Kurt Geiger being a worldwide conduit of London’s pop culture scene”, commented Neil Clifford, CEO of Kurt Geiger.
Kurt Geiger opened three new stores in New York, Los Angeles and San Diego, as well as one each in Mexico City and Querétaro. Further openings this year include stores in Miami, Houston and a second unit in New York. In total, the brand plans to have 50 stores in North America.
