Kurt Geiger expands its network on the high street
Britain based company has announced the opening of a new London flagship store early next year, which will add to its growing empire of shops around the world
Kurt Geiger has opened 28 new stores in 2014, including 20 in the UK and a flagship store in Milan, while franchise partners opened flagship stores in Thailand, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. It now has 59 independent shops worldwide and 198 department store concessions with a further 28 new stores in the pipeline for the fourth quarter and first half of 2015.
Back in April, the shoe retailer was bought out by Chief Executive, Neil Clifford and other managers, with the backing of US private equity house Sycamore Partners.
The company recently announced third-quarter results, showing a 13% jump in like-for-like sales during the period, leading to year-to-date turnover of 210 million pounds, a 13% increase.
“This is proving to be a tremendous year for Kurt Geiger”, Mr. Clifford commented, adding: “Following our management buyout, the company’s new strategic direction has facilitated a renewed focus on growth and international expansion”.
