JD Sports appoints two non-executive directors
The UK-based retailer has announced that Angela Luger and Darren Shapland will become the newest company's non-executive directors, effective as of the 1st of June
“I am delighted to welcome Angela and Darren to the JD Board. They bring a wealth of retail expertise, strengthen the JD Board's Plc experience and complement the board's existing skills and knowledge”, said JD's chair Andrew Higginson in a regulatory filing.
Luger, who also serves as a non-executive director for Jet2, New Look Retailer and Portmeirion Group, will be joining the remuneration committee, bringing her vast experience in digital commerce, digital transformation and marketing to the board.
