From the start, INLU was created with sustainable practices in mind, with a collective goal to have a positive impact on the local economy.

It made sense to tap into Portugal’s highly specialized shoe manufacturing industry to produce high-quality local products. After tireless exploration, the team forged strong partnerships with local manufacturers. These relationships made it clear from the beginning that INLU shoes would be completely handcrafted in Portugal.

From there a contemporary brand of footwear steeped in traditional handcraft techniques and made from locally sourced materials where possible, was born. Inlu officially launched in spring 2018 with its debut collection featuring hints of cork, which holds a strong connection to Portuguese culture.

The brand believes shoes should be bold, not boring, comfortable and always beautifully made, and that should result in a life perfectly lived in color with INLU shoes.
