Guava X Gianni Versace Retrospective
The Portuguese footwear brand will feature at the Versace Runway Retrospective event in Berlin. Guava was the only footwear and accessories brand to be invited to be part of the event
Gianni Versace is known by its unique blend of rock and roll and couture, which made him one of the most admired designers of all times. Through his career, Versace created an impressive and memorable brand, that will be now honored in an exhibition to be held in Berlin featuring pieces by private collectors from Italy and around the world.
The opening ceremony on the 30th of January will have its highlight in an runway show, presenting some of the historical pieces of the designer paired with Guava shoes.
The Portuguese brand was the only footwear and accessories brand to be invited to be part of the exhibition.
The Versace aesthetic, marked by bold colors and daring cuts, perfectly matches Guava’s designs inspired by the rich architectural and geometric imaginative of Inês Caleiro, the founder and creative soul of the brand. "Guava’s geometric heels personifies the boldness and elegance and still the exquisiteness of an independent, strong women that Gianni always envisions on his pieces", according to the Portuguese brand.
The Kronprinzenpalais, located in the heart of Berlin-Mittem, will become the meeting place for collectors and fashion enthusiasts. Between the 30th of January until the 13th of April, the exhibition offers an impressive overview of Versace’s work with immeasurable iconic pieces displayed and alive with famous fashion-highlights worn by celebrities like Prince, Madonna, Elton John and Anna Wintour.
