Gore to launch first shoe in 2017
The company behind Gore-Tex has created new technology to offer lighter and waterproof shoes
Gore has announced a new running shoe with all the benefits of its Gore-Tex protective footwear technology but with the fit and feel of regular running shoes. The Invisible Fit shoe features the Gore-Tex membrane that can be merged to a variety of athletic uppers. As a result of this combination the new shoes are expected to keep the feet dry and comfortable even when running in hard weather conditions.
Wrinkles and folds have been eliminated from the shoe and pressure marks significantly reduced to improve fit. Custom drop liners are in the heel were included to eliminate stitching abrasion in the heel and ankle. The design of the tongue was designed to reduce irritation on the instep.
The shoe, which will be manufactured by Saucony and Innov-8, will be officially unveiled at ISPO trade fair in Munich in February.
