Giovanna Ceolini elected as the new President of the Confindustria Accessori Moda
Confindustria Accessori Moda, the federation of the Italian footwear, leather goods, fur and tanning sectors, has elected Giovanna Ceolini as its new President
Ceolini was unanimously elected to succeed interim president Annarita Pilotti at the helm of Cofindustria Accessori Moda. Former Assopellettieri President Claudia Sequi was also named Vice President.
Giovanna Ceolini has extensive management experience in the leather, footwear and components sectors. Founder and CEO of Parabiago Collezioni since 1999, she has also held key association roles including Vice President of Assocalzaturifici, the Italian footwear association, focusing on internationalisation in Europe and the US. Earlier this year, she was confirmed as President of the same association.
“I look positively towards the future of Confindustria Accessori Moda, despite current challenges and difficult conditions. Throughout this term, I aim to further highlight and promote the potential of the fashion accessory industry in Italy and globally, relying on the collaboration and support of the entire Presidential Council and all Directors of our Associations”, said Giovanna Ceolini.
In this new role, she will focus on promoting technical training by strengthening relationships with schools and universities, helping companies to achieve sustainability in line with European regulations, and promoting digital technologies to increase efficiency and skills. On an international level, she will work to facilitate Italian companies’ access to strategic markets such as Korea, Kazakhstan, the US, and Dubai, and to increase collaboration between international trade fairs to boost the sector’s competitiveness.
