Gallery Shoes to go ahead as planned
Following intensive consultation and with the backing of the Federal Association of German Shoe Retailers (BDSE) and The Federal Association of the German Footwear and Leather Goods Industry (HDS/L), Gallery Shoes will go ahead
From the 8th to the 10th of March 2020 Düsseldorf will still be the home of the footwear industry.

According to the organisers the necessary safety precautions have been discussed in great detail together with the Areal Böhler and are based on recommendations from the Robert Koch Institute and the Public Health Department of the City of Düsseldorf. The organisers ad that the "global events that have recently been cancelled are not comparable to Gallery SHOES in terms of visitors and exhibitors".

A significantly increase of medical presence by doctors and medics trained in dealing with infectious diseases, as well as significantly increased disinfection precautions in all washrooms/toilets and across the entire grounds, especially at the entrance area has been confirmed by the organisers.

The Igedo company also confirmed it is working closely with exhibitors from Italy to discuss individual solutions.
