Futurmoda attracts around 5 000 attendees
The 51st edition of the International Exhibition of Leather, Components, and Machinery for Footwear and Leather Goods, held in Spain, closed with a final figure of over 5 000 visitors
The latest edition of Futurmoda, which took place in Alicante, Spain, on the 13th and 14th of March, was once again a “key meeting point” for the industry, according to the organisers, who pointed out that they welcomed around 5 000 visitors. “Satisfaction among exhibitors has been more than notable, with 95% of them confirming their interest in participating in the next edition”, reads the statement from the organisation.
The event was characterised by a strong focus on both innovation and sustainability. On the one hand, exhibitors showcased several innovations in machinery, including digital printers capable of directly decorating footwear, and ergonomic developments such as heel counters designed to make it easier to put on shoes without having to bend down. On the other hand, the Green Planet area promoted a wide range of natural, ecological and recycled materials.
Discussions and debates that provided valuable insights into the latest trends and challenges in the sector were also facilitated by the Expert Forum. Overall, these sessions were very participated, “reflecting the interest of professionals in staying up-to-date with sectoral innovations”, highlights the organisation.
The next edition will be held on the 16th and 17th of October 2024.
