Frasers Group to cut up to 200 jobs
The British retailer has confirmed it will cut around 200 jobs as it continues the process of increasing efficiencies across the company following a series of recent acquisitions
“Frasers Group has gone through significant change over the last year, having made a number of strategic acquisitions and accelerated progress against the Elevation Strategy”, stated a spokesperson for the fashion chain.
“We are reviewing our team structures to identify efficiencies and streamline processes, and we have entered a consultation period with colleagues affected by these changes. The changes will ensure we have the right structure and talent to support continuing profitable growth for Frasers Group”, he added.
The group, whose portfolio includes Sports Direct, House of Fraser, and Jack Wills, reached in December an agreement with JD Sports to buy 15 of its brands, and this year already acquired The Mall Shopping Centre in Luton, among others. Additionally, it also acquired stakes in Hugo Boss, Mulberry, and N Brown.
