Eureka celebrated in December, three decades of history recalling the matter behind the DNA of Alberto Sousa, who founded the company in 1986. Eureka is one of the largest manufacturers of the footwear sector in Portugal, and is recognized by its high quality casual and formal production of male and female footwear, which makes the group’s own brand, Eureka, a reference from the Portuguese footwear scene.

With luxury material, attractive shapes and modern design, Eureka Shoes targets a wide group of clients, who look for singularity, design, fashion and quality.

In 2009, driven by the passion for the world of footwear, and already with the participation of the new generation of the family, Alberto Sousa’s company conquered an important milestone and launched the Eureka Shoes stores in Portugal, personifying a startegy that includes the creation and production of footwear, complemented with the ownership of sales point and provisioning of  services. A strong and unifying concept that guides and distinguishes the brand.

In 2014, the brand inaugurated its first store within the international market, when it opened a store in Luxembourg, a significant milestone on the brand’s international promotion strategy. Since then, the brand has already opened commercial spaces in Germany and the Netherlands, adding to a portfolio of 27 stores in Portugal.

The company is increasingly investing on its own brands Filipe Sousa, Eureka Concept Collection, Mr. Sousa and Miss Julia. A collection signed by designers – the COxLABS – completes the private brands from Eureka Shoes, showing what is best made in Portugal in regard of fashion design. Luis Carvalho x Eureka, Prudêncio x Eureka, Marques’Almeida x Eureka and Nuno Gama x Eureka are the conceived collections in collaboration with national designers.
