Ecco USA with new leadership

With the departure of Tom Berry as President and CEO, the Danish-based footwear group appointed Deniz Erda to the role of interim President of the US division

According to Footwear News, Deniz Erda, who most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Ecco Middle East & Africa division, has been named interim President of the footwear company in the US. He replaces Tom Berry, who joined the company in January 2022 as President and CEO.

“The US remains a key market for Ecco. This change demonstrates Ecco Global's clear commitment to the brand's success in this market and our ambitions of a return to mutual profitable growth. We have a mandate to return the business to growth by creating consistent profitability, transforming distribution and operations, and engaging with consumers in new ways. We look forward to continuing the journey towards making Ecco an even stronger brand”, said the company.

During Tom Berry's tenure, Ecco has increased its investment in the US business, including the opening of a new office and showroom in Brooklyn, NY. This studio aims to help the division strengthen its activity in the country by working more closely with trendsetters, leading retailers and even brands looking to collaborate with its Ecco Leather materials business.
