Dikamar: from Portugal to Ohio
As part of its internalisation strategy, the Portuguese safety boot manufacturer has so far invested 3 million USD in a factory in Ohio that produces PU and PVC boots that are distributed across the country
Two years ago, as part of its internationalization strategy, the 28-year-old company began setting up a new factory in the United States, having invested a total of 3 million US dollars to date. Located in Ohio, the plant currently has 3 injection machines for the production of PU and PVC boots, which are distributed throughout the country through a network of distributors, committed to quality and American-made products.
Established in Portugal in 1995, Dikamar manufactures PU and PVC safety boots, safety footwear and cold-weather workwear to meet the needs of different working environments, such as the food industry, construction, agriculture, and fishing. “The goal is to offer the right boot for each working environment to ensure the safety and comfort of workers”, says the company in a statement.
The company currently exports to over 50 countries and is internationally recognised for its expertise in the development and production of safety boots, especially for its quality, technology, and innovation.
