Digital platform launches Brazilian shoes all over the world
The website brazilianfootwear.com enables direct contact between Brazilian footwear manufacturers and buyers from all over the world, promoting the industry and facilitating negotiations
Bringing international buyers and Brazilian footwear brands closer through a single platform, with easy, safe navigation and full of information and business opportunities. This is what the online platform of the Brazilian Footwear intends to do. The Brazilian Footwear is the footwear exports promotion program developed by the Brazilian Footwear Industries Association (Abicalçados) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). Operating on the domain www.brazilianfootwear.com, the initiative enables the beginning of negotiations between importers and registered companies, generating relevant business deals for the country's footwear exports.
The platform, with closed, exclusive access, is directed at buyers, importers, agents, distributors, and representatives from all over the world. The search for the desired product can be customized through filters by brand, type of shoe, gender, style, niche, price range, and material, among others. Paola Pontin, an analyst of Abicalçados' Trade Promotion Unit, highlights the diversity of products that can be found on the website. "Through brazilianfootwear.com, Brazilian brands present their collections, which range from flip-flops to evening shoes with high value added, to about 160 countries."
The buyers who are interested in checking out the available shoes register on the platform and must ask each brand for authorization to view all the information about the company and its products. By bringing manufacturers and buyers closer, both are satisfied. "We had much positive feedback, both from the brands, which penetrate into new markets, and from those who find the ideal supplier for their demands through the tool," Pontin says.
