Crocs brand President Michelle Poole to retire
The US-based casual footwear brand has announced that Crocs brand President Michelle Poole has decided to retire. She will be succeeded by Chief Financial Officer Anne Mehlman
After a 32-year career, Michelle Poole, EVP & President of the Crocs Brand, has announced her decision to retire. However, she will remain in her current role until early May and will serve in an advisory capacity until early 2025.
“Over the last decade at Crocs, Michelle's leadership across merchandising, product, design, marketing, and in her role as President has been fundamental to eclipsing the 3 billion US dollars brand revenue mark. Michelle will have a lasting imprint on our brand and in our organization, and I wish her all the best in her retirement”, said Andrew Rees, Chief Executive Officer of Crocs.
Crocs also announced that its current EVP & Chief Financial Officer Anne Mehlman has been promoted to EVP & President of the Crocs Brand.
With more than 20 years of global financial and operational experience, Mehlman rejoined the company in 2018, having previously served as Crocs’ Vice President of Corporate Finance from 2011 to 2016. She was Chief Financial Officer of e-commerce retailer Zappos.com from 2016 to 2018, but her career also includes various finance roles at RSC Equipment Rental (now United Rentals), Corporate Express (now Staples) and Lockheed Martin.
“Building a strong talent bench is one of our strategic imperatives. Anne has been an important thought partner over the last five years in her current capacity as Chief Financial Officer and I have no doubt that her strategic abilities, commercial acumen, and deep knowledge of the Crocs Brand will set us up well for our next chapter of growth”, added Andrew Rees.
