Clarks names new Managing Director for the UK and Ireland
The British footwear label has announced that Under Armour's former Vice President of retail Bob Neville will serve as its new Managing Director for the UK and Republic of Ireland
Neville will assume this managing position at Clarks in August and report to Jon Ram, the company's Chief Executive Officer, who said that he “brings significant global retail and brand creative experience to Clarks”. The newly appointed Managing Director is relocating to the UK from Hong Kong, where he has held several executive roles over the past 30 years at Under Armour, New Balance and adidas. Most recently, he was global vice president of retail at Under Armour.
In his new role, Bob Neville is expected to “play a leading role in delivering our strategic goals and growing our business in the UK and ROI. He builds great teams and empowers them to create exceptional consumer experiences We will also build out our global retail centre of excellence under his leadership”, commented Jon Ram.
“Clarks is an iconic brand known the world over for its innovation, expertise and craftsmanship”, stated Neville. “I'm really looking forward to getting started, growing the brand, increasing our retail presence and, most importantly, to continue delivering Clarks' customers the best experience possible”, he concluded.
He will succeed Joe Ulloa, who resigned as Managing Director of the UK, Ireland and MEA (Middle East and Africa) in April.
