CHIC went digital
Chic Online premiered from the 22nd to the 24th of April. The first digital edition of China's fashion and lifestyle fair registered over 1 350 exhibitors engaged in more than 100 online activities
"The start of Chic Online is a historic day for Chich, which went online for the first time after it was founded 28 years ago", commented Chen Dapeng, President of the China National Garment Association and Chic and Vice President of the China Textile Industry Federation.
Given the current market situation heavily impacted by the Covid-19 spread, companies and businesses are looking for new options to keep the game on. Chic's organisers also looked for alternatives, launching the first edition of Chic Online. The first edition of the digital event recorded 1 350 participating exhibitors, over 100 online activities, over 60 live media reports, and more than 157 000 visits in the period running from the 22nd to the 24th of April.
According to the organisers over the three days event the participants were able to network, exchange ideas and the address the pooling of resources.
