Charles & Keith opens first store in South Korea
The Singapore-based fashion label centred on shoes, bags and accessories has opened its first flagship store in Gangnam, one of Seoul's most vibrant shopping districts
With an area of over 330 sqm on two floors, the new flagship store follows the brand's signature minimalist aesthetic, combining gradual curves and fluid lines with a clean and low-key colour scheme that results “in a space that emanates a modern and refined ambience”. It also includes sculptural artworks by South Korean artist Jeesun Park to complement the spatial design of the store.
In addition, this store is the first in South Korea to introduce an exclusive in-house personalisation service, called Made for Me by Charles & Keith. Aimed at enhancing the customers' experience, this initiative allows them to express their individuality by embroidering their names onto selected items. The embroidery also includes two exclusive ‘Seoul’ items: a magpie and a graphic artwork depicting the city’s essence.
Founded in 1996 by Charles and Keith Wong, the label is present in nearly 700 stores in over 30 countries, with a strong footing in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East. It is also available online, shipping to almost 60 markets worldwide, including Australia, Europe, and the US.
