Centenário has a long experience in the manufacture of men's footwear, and in the last few years has dedicated special attention to the production of golf shoes.  A niche market, with an interesting portfolio of clients, where the Italian National Golf team is included.

The company’s production facilities currently occupy 2 500 square meters, and with the new investment an extra 3 070 square meters will be added, resulting in average daily production to increase from the current 600 to 750 pairs of shoes.

The investment is due to start during the summer and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, after which the current assembly and finishing areas will be moved to the new premises. Throughout 2016, this investment will lead to the recruitment of more workers.

Almost 99% of Centenário’s production is exported. with the main destinations being Finland, US, Dubai, China, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg and France.

The process of production followed by Centenário is influenced by the use of the Blake methodology and the Goodyear system. By allying both methodologies the company guarantees that their products are more comfortable, have better insulation and cushioning, more strength and durability. More expensive techniques, but specially requested by some clients. Special orders from unique customers are familiar to Centenário, resulting in the use of shark skins, streak, crocodile, ostrich and other exotic species in its manufacturing process.
