CCC with new quarterly record
The Polish-based footwear group reported record revenue of 452.6 million euros (2.1 billion Poland Zloty) in the third quarter of 2021. Online sales accounted for 45% of total sales
“Fashionable products responding to global trends, very well-prepared sales operations across the Group, strong stock levels and an up-to-date 360-degree customer communication model have paid off. And we are not stopping there, but keep working to expand our product mix and further develop the omnichannel proposition. Our ambition is to provide the best offering to all customers, regardless of the sales channel they choose”, commented  Marcin Czyczerski, President of the CCC Management Board.

Third Quarter Results

In the third quarter of 2021 (August to October), the CCC group reported sales of 452.6 million euros (2.1 billion Poland Zloty), which reflects an increase of 28% and 41%, on a comparable basis, respectively, to the same period of 2020 and 2019. The growth was driven by strong sales across all the company’s brands, including its latest concept Halfprice, which generated 177.9 million euros (82 million Poland Zloty) in the past quarter.

Gross margin widened by 5.3 percentage points year-on-year in the third quarter of 2021, and EBITDA margin corresponded to 11%.

Kryspin Derejczyk, Vice President of the CCC Management Board, Finance and Accounting, added: “We are satisfied with the strong sales growth delivered by the retail network and e-commerce and with the double-digit EBITDA margin. We maintain cost discipline in the traditional channel, investing in e-commerce and off-price in line with the strategy”.

Online Sales

In the third quarter of fiscal 2021, e-commerce sales accounted for 45% of the group’s total sales.

Sales delivered by eobuwie.pl in the third quarter of the current year generated 151.6 million euros (699 million Poland Zloty), which reflects an increase of 44%, as compared to the same period last year. MODIVO platform sales grew by 113%, reaching 2.57 million euros (123 million Poland Zloty).

Other group’s online platforms also reported growth, on a comparable basis to the third quarter of 2020: CCC.eu sales rose by 54% and DeeZee’s revenue was up by 17%.

Strategy Update

The CCC group reported that it will continue working to digitalize its brick-and-mortar chain, introducing solutions intended to combine online and offline channels, such as the e-kiosk concept, which brings the online offering to customers visiting the physical stores. The group plans to keep on enhancing the shopping experience, for example, through an OMS system that integrates in-store stocks with stocks held in the central e-commerce warehouse. This system will allow improving product availability and a streamlined shipping process, as goods purchased online will be shipped directly from stores.
